AbstractOften in today's business environments, data collected through great care and effort never transforms into actionable information and intelligence because organizations lack the tools or skills to apply modern practices. Too many well developed tools exist but are overlooked. Too many projects fail to account for their organization's social and cultural attributes. The result is information being discarded because it cannot be effectively leveraged. This work examines a collection of business tools and technologies, goals, and behaviors in the context of how they affect information security policy and programs within the business.
